Accessibility statement
Autovehicule DAC S.A. is committed to making the dac.eu website accessible to people with disabilities, in accordance with Directive (EU) 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act) and standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (equivalent to WCAG 2.1 Level AA).
Last updated: May 5, 2026
Compliance status
The website is partially compliant with EN 301 549 (WCAG 2.1 AA) requirements. There are content and components that do not fully meet all criteria, identified below.
Accessibility features
- Full keyboard navigation (Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Escape)
- Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
- ARIA attributes on non-native components (carousel, modals, chat)
- Alt text for informative images
- Minimum contrast 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text
- Support for reduce-motion (animations disabled when user prefers reduced motion)
- Semantic HTML5 structure (header, nav, main, footer landmarks)
- Toggle between light and dark theme
Non-accessible content
The following areas still require improvement:
- Some complex animations (Hero section, scroll-trigger) may cause visual distraction even though reduce-motion is partially respected.
- Complex tables (vehicle specifications) do not yet have headers associated with each cell (scope/headers).
- Some technical PDFs (brochures) are not fully accessible (tagged text, reading order).
- The interactive configurator needs an alternative flow for users who cannot use a mouse.
We are working on remediation and aim for full compliance within the next 12 months.
Technologies used
- HTML5 + WAI-ARIA
- CSS3 (variabile, prefers-color-scheme, prefers-reduced-motion)
- JavaScript (React, Next.js)
- Tested compatibility: Chrome 110+, Firefox 110+, Safari 16+, Edge 110+
- Screen readers tested: NVDA, VoiceOver
