Warranty policy

• Vehicle warranty (body, mechanical assemblies) — 2 years or 200,000 km, whichever comes first.
• Traction battery warranty — 8 years or 800,000 km, guaranteeing at least 70% retention of original capacity.
• Anti-corrosion warranty — 10 years against corrosion-related perforation of the body.
• Paint warranty — 3 years against adhesion defects, fading or peeling.

Note: specific terms may vary per model and per contract. Refer to the warranty document delivered with the vehicle for exact parameters.

• Manufacturing or material defects
• Replacement of defective parts with original DAC parts
• Labor associated with the repair
• Diagnostics and on-board software updates

• Normal wear of consumable parts (tires, brake pads, wipers, filters, fluids)
• Defects caused by improper use, overloading, accidents, negligence or unauthorized modifications
• Damage caused by extreme natural phenomena (floods, hail, fires)
• Lack of maintenance at recommended intervals or performed outside the authorized DAC network
• Normal battery degradation wear (within 30% capacity loss limit)

The warranty becomes effective on the date of delivery of the vehicle to the first owner and is automatically registered in the DAC system. The vehicle must have undergone the PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) at an authorized DAC location.

1. Contact an authorized DAC service location (list on /service page).
2. Present the vehicle identification document (service booklet + vehicle registration certificate).
3. Describe the issue observed; the technician will perform initial diagnostics.
4. Upon confirmation of warranty coverage, the intervention is performed free of charge with original parts.

To keep the warranty active, the vehicle must undergo periodic maintenance at the intervals indicated in the service booklet, exclusively in the authorized DAC network. Use of unauthorized parts or unauthorized intervention may result in loss of warranty for the affected assembly.

Independently of DAC's commercial warranty, consumers benefit from the statutory warranty of conformity under Romanian Law 449/2003 — minimum 2 years from delivery, with associated rights (repair, replacement, price reduction, contract termination). For details see /anpc.
